Lead

Main role:

The point spokesperson for the workshop, the lead will be the one responsible for directing the discussion and workshop proceedings.

Secondary:

Ensure attendees are happy and tasks are completed.

Obligations:

  • Welcome attendees to the workshop

  • Present workshop content with good time management

  • Make sure all materials are set up and ready

  • Kickstart and guide the discussions, mediating if going off-track


Data Collection/Co-Lead Facilitator

Main role:

  • Observe the conversation, analyze and group data, support the Lead to facilitate discussion.

Secondary role:

  • Ensure the venue and equipment are working.

Obligations:

  • Support participants where needed to complete tasks

  • Group the themes and data that emerge from discussions

  • Ensure attendees complete post-event survey

  • Ensure venue, AV, and equipment are working properly


Scribe

Main role:

The point note taker for the workshop. The scribe will be mainly responsible for capturing the data, group discussions, and attendee surveys.

Secondary role:

  • Ensure the event and agenda is kept on time.

Obligations:

  • Lay out resources and pens for attendees to use

  • Take detailed notes of the discussions

  • Capture and record workshop outputs

  • Keep the meeting agenda on time, finishing promptly for happy hour
