2.1 - The Lead

Role Overview:

  • Acts as the primary facilitator, guiding discussions and ensuring the workshop stays on track.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting the workshop's tone and pace.

  • Guiding the discussion based on the agenda.

  • Encouraging participation from all attendees.

  • Making executive decisions to navigate any divergences from the plan.

  • Ensuring that workshop objectives are met.


Main role:

The point spokesperson for the workshop, the lead will be the one responsible for directing the discussion and workshop proceedings.

Secondary:

Ensure attendees are happy and tasks are completed.

Obligations:

  • Welcome attendees to the workshop

  • Present workshop content with good time management

  • Make sure all materials are set up and ready

  • Kickstart and guide the discussions, mediating if going off-track

Expectations

Leadership and Direction:

  • Ability to steer the workshop according to the agenda while being adaptable to the group's dynamics.

Engagement and Participation:

  • Ensuring active involvement from all participants, fostering an inclusive environment.

Conflict Resolution:

  • Managing disagreements and steering discussions towards constructive outcomes.

Time Management:

  • Keeping the workshop on schedule, balancing depth of discussion with the need to cover all agenda items.

Decision Facilitation:

  • Guiding the group to make decisions when necessary, ensuring they are aligned with the workshop's objectives.
