Ground Rules & Expectations

Respect:

Treat all participants with respect, regardless of differing opinions or backgrounds. Listen actively and refrain from interrupting when someone else is speaking.

Participation:

Engage actively in discussions and activities. Share your perspectives and ideas openly and encourage others to do the same.

Confidentiality:

Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information shared during the workshop sessions. What is discussed within the group should stay within the group, unless otherwise agreed upon, aka ‘Chatham House Rules’.

Time Management:

Start and end sessions on time. Be mindful of the agenda and keep discussions focused to make the most of the allocated time.

Constructive Feedback:

Offer feedback in a constructive and respectful manner. Focus on ideas rather than individuals, and aim to provide solutions or suggestions for improvement.

Diversity and Inclusion:

Embrace diversity of thought, background, and experience. Ensure that all voices are heard and valued, and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to contribute.

Collaboration:

Work together collaboratively towards common goals. Be willing to compromise and find common ground when faced with differing perspectives.

Accountability:

Take ownership of your commitments and follow through on assigned tasks. Hold yourself and others accountable for meeting deadlines and achieving agreed-upon objectives.

Flexibility:

Be open to adapting plans and strategies as needed based on new information or changing circumstances. Stay flexible and willing to adjust course when necessary.

Professionalism:

Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Refrain from engaging in disruptive behavior or personal attacks, and adhere to the agreed ground rules.
